Extra Innings by Joe Boesch

Baseball is finally back and for the diehards that's a good thing, however for me I got a little turned off by the lockout and the business of baseball. With that, I've decided to take a break from writing this blog to recharge the batteries. Between a health issue, family priorities and the craziness of work, the time is right. New  Mets  GM Billy Eppler wasted no time making the moves to upgrade the Mets to a viable contender for the 2022 Season. Black Friday was yesterday and for the Mets, the deals came in like a Red-Light Special with the signings of Centerfielder Starling Marte, Infielder Eduardo Escobar and Outfielder Mark Canha. Hopefully the next big splash signing for the Mets will be a pitcher or pitchers. Eppler started strong, hopefully he continues to be strong during the Hot Stove.
